The Executive Committee is responsible for implementing the decisions of the Council, for performing the operational business of the Organization and for proposing to Council strategies to take forward the objectives of the IOMP. The Executive Committee is empowered to act on behalf of the Council where prompt action is deemed necessary in its judgment. Such actions shall be reported by mail or e-mail to all Council members The Executive Committee decides and implements operational methods

IOMP Council
The IOMP Council is the ultimate authority of the Organisation. The delegates to the Council are appointed by the national organizations in accordance with the following schedule:
NMO with membership more than 400 has 3 delegates in Council with voting rights, 101-400 have 2 delegates and 10-100 have only 1 delegate with voting rights. NMOs with less than 10 have 1 delegate with no voting right. Each regional organization has two delegates with voting right.
The Council includes also the following elected IOMP Officers and IOMP Committees Chairs:
Officers: President, Vice-President (President Elect), Secretary General, Treasurer, Past President; Committee Chairs: Scientific Com; Education and Training Com, Professional Relations Com, Publication Com, Awards and Honours Com, Rules Com, Nominating Com, Medical Physics World Board.

Corporate members do not have voting rights.

  Activities

The aims of IOMP are: a) To organize international cooperation in medical physics and to promote communication between the various branches of medical physics and allied subjects. b) To contribute to the advancement of medical physics in all its aspects. c) To advise on the formation of national organizations of medical physics in those countries which lack such organizations, and also the possible formation of national committees in those countries where there is more than one medical physics organization.

IOMP established the International Day of Medical Physics (IDMP) which is celebrated all over the world on 7th November.

For the purposes of this statement:

  • tobacco industry means any entity involved in the manufacture, sale or distribution of tobacco and related products, and any affiliate of such entity; and
  • arms industry means any entity involved in the manufacture, sale or distribution of arms, and any affiliate of such entity.

This disclosure statement needs to be provided by any nongovernmental organization, private sector entity, philanthropic foundation and academic institution prior to engaging with WHO.

In view of the foregoing, please answer the following questions:

This includes in particular investment interests (other than general mutual funds or similar arrangements whereby your entity has no control over the selection of the investments), commercial business interests, the provision or receipt of financial and/or other support.
  1. If you have answered yes to any of the above or are unable to answer one or more questions, please provide a general statement of explanation.

Please note that the WHO Secretariat reserves the right to request additional information from your entity in this regard.
By providing this statement, your entity commits to promptly inform WHO of any change to the above information and to complete a new statement that describes the changes.
