TRANSFORM is the title of Amref’s new Corporate Strategy 2023-2030. Amref’s promise is to transform the health of communities in Africa through investing in the health and lives of women and young people who are agents of change in African communities. Our ambition is to leap from being one of the leading health organizations in Africa to the non-state leader in and on the health development agenda in Africa. At the core of Amref’s ambition is a vision for lasting health change in Africa and a mission to catalyze and drive community-led and people-centred primary health care systems while addressing social determinants of health. This mission will be achieved via two interconnected strategic platforms: (i) Invest in people-centered health systems for sustainable primary health care; (ii) Target social determinants of health and intersectionality to increase equitable access to health services.
